Our Plantantions at a Glance

Carbon Planet Ltd. (CPL) is pioneering in sustainable forestry in Tanzania, with large-scale teak and sandalwood plantations designed to capture carbon, regenerate land, and create long-term value with teak and sandalwood.

1,300 acres (520 hectares) of teak plantations under active management (as of March 2021)

500,000+ seedlings raised annually, ensuring constant expansion and sustainability of our plantations

Estimated sequestration potential: 1 hectare of mature teak can capture up to 10–15 tons of CO2 every year, meaning CPL’s current plantations have the potential to offset 5,000–7,500 tons of CO2 annually

Species Focus: Teak (high-value timber with a lifecycle of 20–25 years) and Sandalwood (medicinal, cultural, and premium aromatic uses with a 15–20 year maturity cycle)

Growth Pipeline: Annual replanting cycles and nursery expansion position CPL for steady growth and scaling
